bksys (http://freehackers.org/~tnagy/bksys.html) contains a collection of application and library that
demonstrate how to compile and install kde applications using scons. It is now being discussed and one of the candidates of substituting auto* as build tool for kde.

bksys is now waf and I still have it on my list, but closing this bug for now.
