I'd linke to have mplayer-xp added to portage http://mplayerxp.sourceforge.net/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I'm not sure who could find the time to prepare an ebuild in a relatively short time. If somebody could, I guess we can test it and probably add to portage. Don't hold your breath in the mean time.
cc myself
No activity in one year. If you are still interested in this, attach an ebuild. There are over 2000 bugs filed for new ebuilds, if you want something in portage, at least attempt an ebuild. http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1 http://devmanual.gentoo.org/ Thanks.
> No activity in one year. New version MPlayerXP-0.7.1 http://mplayerxp.sourceforge.net/ Please reopen request.
reopen as requested. if i have some spare time i might try an ebuild
I've written one: http://github.com/l29ah/booboo/tree/384c6378ab6474db78c209408ba9846d02d80798/media-video/mplayerxp
But it doesn't work. Looks like mplayerxp has strange, prefix-dependent linking, so such errors occur: codec_ld: Can't load library: '/var/tmp/paludis/media-video-mplayerxp-0.7.2/image//lib/codecs/libnuppelvideo.so' due: /var/tmp/paludis/media-video-mplayerxp-0.7.2/image//lib/codecs/libnuppelvideo.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I don't know how to solve that. ldd says nothing.
fyi: MPlayerXP-0.7.96 has been released
Interesting. I'll attach an ebuild soon (i.e. if it builds).
Yup, it has a horrible build system...
Created attachment 247744 [details] See if you can fix... It does not work.
I think this bug should be closed as obsolete.
(In reply to comment #12) > I think this bug should be closed as obsolete. Let's do that. If anyone is still interested in this, they should get it into sunrise overlay.
