Description Joel Armstrong 2005-06-12 21:40:58 UTC
I was bootstrapping my first AMD64 system today when I encountered problems
emerging binutils-2.16.1. When emerging, it tries to download
binutils-2.16.1-uclibc-patches-1.0.tar.bz2, which does not exist on any of the
mirrors that it tries.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Emerge binutils on a ~amd64 system, which gives you binutils-2.16.1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
I recieved many 404 errors as it tried to download from all the mirrors, and
thusly the emerge failed.

Expected Results:
Downloaded a different file, perhaps, or have a file uploaded that accidentally
wasn't.

Running scripts/bootstrap.sh, and trying with emerge --nodeps binutils, on a
~amd64 system.
(unfortunately, don't have the capacity to paste the info from emerge info, but
here are some parts I thought relevant)
Portage 2.0.51.22-r1

give time for the file to hit mirrors
