Description Perry Lu 2005-06-12 20:51:43 UTC
after upgrading to scim-1.3.0, GTK programs such as nautilus, gaim, and some
applet preference windows will eat up 99% CPU time after closing one of its
child windows.

please refer to bug #94856 for details(where I mistook it to be a bug in nautilus)

what's the version of all scim related packages you installed?

did you try to re-emerge all scim-* package after you upgrade scim?
Comment 2 Perry Lu 2005-06-13 20:00:14 UTC
I have scim-anthy-0.43 and scim-pinyin-0.50 installed, and yes, I reinstalled
all scim related packages after I upgraded scim(otherwise I wouldn't be able to
use them), in fact, I "emerge -e world" twice just for this bug.
Comment 3 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-18 08:59:09 UTC
I've just added scim-1.3.1 to CVS.
Could you test if the problem still persists with 1.3.1?
Comment 4 Perry Lu 2005-06-19 14:01:17 UTC
the problem persists. not even after I switched my whole system to the stable
branch and "emerge -e world" again just a few days ago.

Comment 6 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-27 07:50:20 UTC
This issue should be fixed in CVS version of SCIM, but
I don't have time to backport the fix to scim ebuild.
If you cannot wait for next release, please try scim-cvs
instead.
Comment 7 Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-29 20:57:18 UTC
scim-1.3.2 has been released. Please give it a try and see
if the problem is solved.
Comment 8 Perry Lu 2005-06-30 06:28:06 UTC
yes, the problem seems to be fixed on 1.3.2
