After upgrading baselayout-1.9.4-r6 to baselayout-1.11.X or higher the computer does not power off during shutdown. With my configuration I've never had problems with automatic power off, but after the update it works only sometimes. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. good configured acpi computer 2. upgrading baselayout 3. try poweroff / halt or shutdown

i'm inclined to blame the kernel cause that makes my life easier does 2.6.11 or 2.6.12 or 2.6.13 shutdown any easier ?
I get no improvement with kernel 2.6.11.10 / 2.6.12.3. Sometimes it is working and sometimes it is not working, but with a downgrade to an old baselayout it always works.
How about just replacing /etc/init.d/shutdown.sh from old baselayout ?
Or just editing /etc/init.d/shutdown.sh, and removing the 'h' parameter ? Also, what harddrives, and what driver for them ?
okay, I've done nothing except updating my system. Since one week it works without problems.
