Hi :) I don't know if this really is a bug, so if not - I'm sorry. I wanted to emerge musepack-tools for MPC encoding. I was very suprised to see this after typing "emerge -pv musepack-tools": These are the packages that I would merge, in order: Calculating dependencies ...done! [ebuild N ] media-sound/esound-0.2.34 +alsa +ipv6 +tcpd 0 kB [ebuild N ] dev-lang/nasm-0.98.39-r1 -build -doc 0 kB [ebuild N ] media-sound/musepack-tools-1.15v +16bit -debug -esd -static 0 kB How come esound is going to be installed even though there's a -esd USE flag? If esound is required (I doubt it) then why is there the USE flag? I will gladly give any additional information if needed :) Best regards, Crocodil. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Thanks fixed in CVS.
