Description Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2005-06-11 00:13:39 UTC
If I specify a /tmp partition with mountoptions noexec, then the install fails when /tmp/spawn.sh is called.

The error given is:
chroot: cannot run command `/tmp/spawn.sh': Permission denied

/var/tmp should be used instead (as it should never be mounted noexec).

This also goes for /tmp/post-install

Nice catch. Fixed in cvs.

Moving to Release Media/Installer.
