if cluster use flag is specified: setup should create directory /var/lib/mysql-cluster and owned by mysql:mysql default config file should be placed as /var/lib/mysql-cluster/config.ini init script should start 'ndb_mgmd' as user mysql in the /var/lib/mysql-cluster directory.
To add to this, an init script for ndbd would also be very useful.
waited to look at a clean solutions, cluster configurations are still rare and differs one from the other. For the experienced MySQL admin (you are if using clusteer) it should be easy enough to add the wanted script in /etc/init.d/ and to create the directory in the right places. Sorry to close this as wontfix but I can't see a clean solution.

sandino: FYI, Upstream strongly recommends only using the separate mysql-cluster sources, and NOT using NDB on the base mysql variant.
As soon as I have dev-db/mysql-cluster compile I will let you know. In the meanwhile, my only successful compile has been dev-db/mysql with +cluster and seems to be working as limited as in every other OS, but fine.. The uploaded init scripts are so trivial that I can't understand why nobody else bothered to upload them in the last 5 years. Since somebody has been asking for them sometime, it means they might be useful for somebody.
