Description Asko Eronen 2005-06-10 00:53:13 UTC
Gstreamer should have Wavpack audio format decoding support, but I can't get it
working with amarok. I don't know if Gstreamer needs some specialized plugin
witch isn't in portage. I've tryed with Gstreamer 0.8.10 and gst-plugins 0.8.9.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

I've made pug report to Gstreamer for including Wavpack support some time a go
and it should be already in it. Still I can't play wavpack files in amarok with
Gstreamer.

ebuild for gstreamer wavpack plugin

gst-plugins doens't install all the plugins for gstreamer, you need to emerge
the plugin you want. There isn't actually an ebuild for wavpack but this should
do it for you. Put the abuild in your overlay (probably /usr/local/portage/)
in a directory called media-plugins/gst-plugins-wavpack, add
gst-plugins-wavpack ~your arch to package.keywords and emerge. You shouldn't
need wavpack itself installed.
Comment 2 Asko Eronen 2005-06-10 10:13:16 UTC
I get this error when I try to emerge it.

>>> emerge (1 of 1) media-plugins/gst-plugins-wavpack-0.8.9 to /
!!! No package manifest found:
/usr/local/portage/media-plugins/gst-plugins-wavpack/Manifest

How do I do or get the Manifest file?
