vlc-0.8.2_beta2 is a test ebuild for new 0.8.2 version of VLC. As it adds dependencies and new features, I prepared this ebuild to be sure that it works partially fine. I currently dropped *all* the keywords but ~amd64 as adding new dependencies via use flags needs testing. (Note: currently in portage there's just a version which just drops ~sparc keyword, I have locally the other on as I'm still testing dirac support right now) The useflags which needs to be marked or use.masked are: dirac -> media-video/dirac, includes a selftest so FEATURES="maketest" should help marking it also if it's not conclusive.. I've p.masked it until we can test it with a working video, so please just checks if it builds until I can provide a video to check with. daap -> >=media-libs/libopendaap-0.3.0, just concerns ~sparc as for now Hope this can be worked out before 0.8.2 final is out. Thanks, Diego
vlc has compile issues if the slc and mozilla use flags are enabled. However if those are both disabled, it builds fine.
FYI: A semi-official "beta" (non-cvs) release is here: http://download2.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/vlc-0.8.2-test2/ Looks like it was released on June 7th.
This *is* the version of June 7th, it's just took from the snapshot instead that from the test2 release.
~sparc keyword is still missing in 0.8.2 final, moving this directly to sparc team.
Added ~sparc keyword. Compile issues previously mentioned are gone. Thanks for the bug report.
