while reading through bugzilla about missing symlinks between (from?) /usr/bin -> /usr/lib/portage/bin, I typed in "newexe" to see what it does (no manpage, couldn't find the docs). 5 seconds later, my gentoo linux install which had taken two days to complete up to that point was toast. newexe should be able to tell if it was invoked by a stupid r00t user and refuse to run (at least w/o a parameter or environment variable or...)
