Description Biswarup Ray 2005-06-07 19:57:38 UTC
Libgnomeui-2.0 should be automatically installed when the program "lavaps" is
installed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Check that libgnomeui-2.0 is not installed.
2.Run "emerge lavaps".
3.

Actual Results:
The installation process was aborted midway , with the comment:
..................
..................
checking for libgnomeui-2.0... configure error: no libgnomeui-2.0
!!! ERROR: X1-misc/lavaps 2.4 failed
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed

Expected Results:
First it should have emerged libgnomeui-2.0, then it would proceed to install
lavaps.

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by lavaps configure 2.4, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.57. Invocation command line was

  $ ./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man -
-infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --
localstatedir=/var/lib

clearly a gentoo linux bug, not a Bugzilla issue.

Comment 2 Markus Nigbur (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-14 06:12:50 UTC
Well, javaps-2.7 is our for months, but I'm unable to get it to compile. Any
help there would be very useful.
Comment 3 Jonathan Smith (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-14 15:31:01 UTC
biswarurp: i appreciate your enthusiasm for giving developers informatio, but
please post things of that size as an attachment, not a comment.

for the moment, i will concentrate on getting version 2.7 to work
Comment 4 Jonathan Smith (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-14 15:59:14 UTC
the reason it was not compiling has a good deal to do with the ebuild not
running the configuration script... 2.7 is now working (for me) and in
portage... if 2.7 does not work for you, please repoen
