Logs of emerge --info obs-studio and the failed obs-studio emerge.

I'm using the global ~amd64 and tried emerging obs-studio. emerge failed and I saw that it asked for the libva dependency. I could solve it by manually doing emerge -v1 media-libs/libva and then emerging obs-studio. It seems it should pull that dependency, but it's failing to do so.

I use lto, if that's of any importance.
Comment 1 Ionen Wolkens gentoo-dev 2025-04-16 17:40:35 UTC
That sounds odd, given the dependency is there and unconditional in obs-studio-31.0.3:

DEPEND="
    ...
    media-libs/libva

Forgotten libva line in package.provided maybe? It's plausible that could be what happened given the ABI nonsense upstream were causing a few months back.

Closing WORKSFORME per comment 1. Reopen if this is incorrect.
