=media-gfx/fig2dev-3.2.9a fails its test suite for me, specifically the tests "6: guess tiff output format from output filename" and "102: tiff" (the latter under the heading "Create and embed bitmaps in fig-file.") The diffs in the individual tests' testsuite.log files show the "actual" results with ImageMagick warnings about the "convert" command being deprecated.
