Last commit from 3 years ago. Qt6 porting PR was filed, then closed a year later. Is there any hope for this package?
Actually, this has been superseded by https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap. There was lots of activity for ages, but no actual releases. In the meantime, I switched to Wayland, which barrier doesn't support, and have made do with net-misc/netevent ever since. I gave up checking on input-leap, but I now see they have actually done some releases back in October, so I'll arrange a bump and package move.
input-leap is in ::guru, I could update the old ebuild with my local version and you could see if that suites you.
The one in guru is up-to-date now. I've been working on this, and I've made the necessary changes to build it without any X11 support. It still needs xorg-proto because the EI backend uses XKB keymaps. I'll submit this upstream once I've tested it out.
So it turns out input-leap is actually dead. :-/ It has now been superseded by https://github.com/deskflow/deskflow, which is like a cousin. Both projects are descended from older versions of Synergy. Synergy still exists as a partly proprietary variant of Deskflow. We still have x11-misc/synergy packaged, but it is maintainer-needed. I doubt there's much interest in the proprietary version, so I now propose we package move that and x11-misc/barrier into gui-apps/deskflow. We don't have an ebuild for that yet, but it will look similar.
(In reply to James Le Cuirot from comment #4) > So it turns out input-leap is actually dead. :-/ It has now been superseded > by https://github.com/deskflow/deskflow, which is like a cousin Or maybe not. The person who told me that doesn't actually represent input-leap, and someone who does has now contradicted him. Maybe we'll end up with both.
