Description Julien Delquié 2025-03-31 16:02:14 UTC
Sometimes, if I let my computer alone, it freezes completely.
I put the last version in summary because it happens also with this last version, but it happened in previous versions too.
And I am not able to tell when it started to happen.

When it happens, there are those lines in « journalctl -kb -1 »:
mars 31 14:01:22 pasokon.taniere.lan kernel: amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] REG_WAIT timeout 1us * 100 tries - dcn32_program_compbuf_size line:139
mars 31 14:02:39 pasokon.taniere.lan kernel: amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: [drm] REG_WAIT timeout 1us * 100 tries - dcn32_program_compbuf_size line:139
mars 31 14:30:07 pasokon.taniere.lan kernel: snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: Unstable LPIB (254752 >= 8192); disabling LPIB delay counting
mars 31 14:30:08 pasokon.taniere.lan kernel: snd_hda_intel 0000:03:00.1: Unable to change power state from D3hot to D0, device inaccessible

I don’t know at all where to report this issue… so I took a chance here.
Sorry to bother if it was not appropriate.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. let alone the computer.
Actual Results:
It could freeze after a certain amount of time.

Expected Results:
It keeps running without issue.

Gentoo's bugzilla is probably not a great place to ask for help with this.

I suggest seeking help in forums or IRC first.

Can you post your full log after a freeze ?

Created attachment 923477 [details]
journalctl -b (tar.gz)

Here is a full boot log from journalctl.

I don’t know if it is what you ask for.

Thank-you, I suggest keeping an eye on that upstream bug.
