Description Josh Sled 2005-06-06 18:02:13 UTC
Every time I attempt to read a PDF in firefox (via acroread helper app), firefox
becomes unresponsive until killed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on PDF link

Actual Results:
Notice firefox has become unresponsive.

`acroread` has spawned, and that killing it has no effect.

Expected Results:
embedded acroread viewer in new tab.

[I--] [ ] app-text/acroread-5.10 (0)
[I--] [ ] www-client/mozilla-firefox-1.0.4 (0)

An upgrade to acroread-7.0[.0.2-r2] does work; PDFs in ffox are now displayed
in-browser.

I don't even have acroread installed and firefox still freezes ...

Nothing we can do when you are using a binary plugin package.
