media-video/totem-1.0.3 version bump
New version out there... and finally with gtk2 only version fixed. I hope to see this in portage soon... 1.1.2: * Use MusicBrainz to get Title, Album, etc. for audio CDs * Also read 3 letters country-codes for subtitles and languages * Remove unexisting local files from the recent files list * Make subtitles and languages menus unsensitive rather than their submenus * Have the nautilus properties page set the tab label according to the file type * Add the "--print-playing" command-line option that does what it says * Desensitise zoom menu items when boundaries are reached * Allow building the Mozilla plugin with Firefox * Avoid deadlocks/CPU burn with the thumbnailer * Fix GTK+ only build, remove GNOME dependency on the thumbnailer * Make the Exit fullscreen appear on the right screen for Xinerama setups * Misc Mozilla and playlist fixes * Fix some playlist files from winamp.com not being parsed properly * Don't show the fullscreen popups when the video window isn't focused * Fix crash with some recent files * Allow to pass a device directly to the playlist, for DVD and VCD * Better error messages for some types of input (xine-lib) * Fix crashes when zooming out too far (xine-lib) * Prevent window flickering with some files (GStreamer) * Implement per-track CD playback (GStreamer) * Improve metadata loading in the nautilus properties page (GStreamer) * Implement aspect-ratio switching (GStreamer) * Add subtitles/languages labels for audio streams (GStreamer)
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96611 contains an ebuild for iso-codes, which is required by totem-1.1.2.
Hi! There is another new version... 1.1.3 and we still don't have an update :S and no comments from the dev's too :(
Version bumped to 1.1.4 Hope the mozilla plugin will be included in hte next ebuild :-)
Version 1.1.5 is out too! I wonder if we reach 1.2.0 before seeing any 1.1-series in portage :-/
well maybe totem needs a new manteiner... or the dev's are too busy :( that's strange, because we have the gstreamer and gnome teams receiving this.
Actually, the Gnome herd is quite aware of all the Gnome releases, and are working on getting 2.12 RC into Portage, however it was waiting on a dependency to get in, which was just added yesterday. http://dev.gentoo.org/~allanonjl/gnome/gnome_status.html Is a quick script that AllanonJL uses to track the Gnome status, and he is working on expanding it to support both the 2.12 release as well as the 2.10. You know you can always create your own ebuilds, and test them out, file bug reports/patches to get noticed and invited to become a Gentoo developer and help out if you think Gentoo isn't moving as fast as it should. Apologies for any inconvenience you might have for not having the absolute bleeding edge versions in Portage just yet.
Hoi, I tried the totem-1.1.5 ebuild now, and it works great with a minor drawback: If building the firefox plugin, totem doesn't detect that firefox-bin is installed. Does totem need firefox build from sources? greetings fabian zeindl
For all the people commenting on this bug, please note that usually we don't maintain ebuilds for unstable/development releases. In totem's case, we decided to add ebuilds for the development branch (1.1.x) as it is part of the official GNOME release, which we support for testing purposes, but is a special case. Also, please refrain from posting comments that don't add anything to the report (e.g. comments #3-#6). Fabian, You're correct. Totem requires mozilla/firefox sources.
