Assumed rsync://rsync.de.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage/ will do round robin to DE only mirrors which would make sense, but it does round robin to all World Wide mirrors. Documentation says "Any available mirror" but UNDER the DE (Germany) list. I might be mistaken but what is the point of having a rsync.DE.gentoo.org or any other rsync.<COUNTRYCODE>.gentoo.org if they all are the same round robin to world wide servers? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. add country specific round robin rsync mirror 2. run rsync 3. observer sync with mirrors outside of the selected country Actual Results: rsync country specific round robin mirror round robins to world wide rsync mirrors. Expected Results: rsync country specific round robin mirror round robins only to rsync mirrors in the respective country

figured that the servers are in DE but whois gives misleading Country information since many servers are from global providers.
