Description Thomas Sachau gentoo-dev 2005-06-04 05:35:11 UTC
If i boot with the 2005.0-Live-CD i cannot do any keyboard input. So i booted
with knoppix and installed gentoo from console. After booting the new
installation i also cannot do any keyboard input.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot 2005.0-Live-CD or boot new gentoo-installation

Actual Results:
i see no reaction for my keyboard input.

Expected Results:
show and react on my keyboard input.

What type of keyboard? How is it connected? What arch computer are you having
this problem on? When does input stop? (BIOS, grub, login prompt, x11)

Well, you provided zero hardware information, so you can´t expect that someone
will diagnose the problem.

Try "gentoo-nofb noapic acpi=off nosmp nolvm2" at boot prompt.

Sorry, PS2 keyboard is simply not enough hardware information. Did you try my
suggestion in Comment #2?
Comment 6 Thomas Sachau gentoo-dev 2005-06-04 06:47:12 UTC
gentoo acpi=off solves this problem, why is only the option acpi=on in the
bootmanager?

Good, closing then.
