dev-scheme at first glance appears to hold scheme interpreters and scheme libraries. But Gauche is in dev-lang, even though Gauche libraries are in dev-scheme, and mzscheme is in dev-lisp. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Look in portage. 2. 3. Actual Results: Scheme interpreters/compilers and libraries are not all in dev-scheme. Expected Results: All scheme software should be in dev-scheme.
There are few, if any, human resources available in the scheme herd to fix these kinds of things. The common-lisp herd might pick it up, but it would be very low priority.
Created attachment 73801 [details, diff] hunts down all the scheme interpeters & scheme addons & does a transfer Other then applying this patch, is there anything else that is needed to do this?
It's almost a year later, and many of these have found there way home to dev-scheme. The following still need to be added to profiles/updates/3Q-2006 + move dev-lang/gauche dev-scheme/gauche + move dev-util/guile dev-scheme/guile
I'll do this when I get CVS access in a month or so.
I've moved slib, guile and gauche to dev-scheme and also given renewed incentive to fix Bug 152485. Thanks to Peper for cleaning up.
