Disc-cover is broken in several ways. if you scan a normal cd, disc-cover segfaults immediately (never seen a perl script do that). But if you skip the scanning step and feed disc-cover a cddb file, then it stops at the latex step with some missing files. Looks like there may be a problem with the new latex-3 strace and errors come attached. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. app-text/tetex-2.0.2-r5 (/usr/share/texmf/source/latex/misc/isolatin1.sty) app-text/tetex-2.0.2-r5 (/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/misc/isolatin1.sty)
I didn't quite understand the meaning of the last post... actually those two files seem to be missing on tetex-3 - which is in ~x86
I was more posting for my own reference. Is there anything in the tetex/latex changelogs about it being dropped?
isolatin1.sty indeed was removed as obsolete in tetex 3.0
i just found out that disc-cover does not segfault on gentoo stable (yet) i tried several versions of the libraries it depends on ... without luck ...
make have been fixed in bug #61374. Please check.
No, not fixed (at last the segfaulting isn't)
Same problem here :(
I have mailed Jano, and it has said me the following (thanks a lot to Jano :) ): New version, 1.5.5 fixes the latex problem. http://www.vanhemert.co.uk/disc-cover.html The segfault I do not understand, I suspect it is the libcdaudio on your system that segfaults. Please try the cdcd program to see if that works (it also uses libcdaudio). Cheers, Jano
please tell me if 1.5.6 fixes these issues.
