https://gitea.ladish.org/LADI/cadence Nedko, mid- to long-term this needs porting to PyQt6 - is that on the cards? It is not such a big step that Qt4 to Qt5 had been.

Anything out in the open about that project abandonment that we could point to?

In LADI project cadence is in maintenance mode, which means porting to Qt6 is unlikely to happen unless someone contributes patch. Same applies to LADI claudia. Other parts of cadence suite are of little value for ladish setups, so claudia got dedicated repo where only claudia is maintained. Both will ultimately fade out, unless someone steps in to update this pile of [not so good] code for newer Python and Qt versions. These issues are being addressed in the new GUI that is python-less like gladish, but gtk-less too. Given this, it may well be better to remove media-sound/cadence from portage tree, instead of switching to new upstream.
