As I originally mentioned at https://bugs.gentoo.org/804963#c8, the github repo description says "Bug-fix-only libev port of shadowsocks. Future development moved to shadowsocks-rust".

agree if after packaging shadowsocks-rust (just was not motivated to do it)

so far, I haven't tried to last rites because it still works..
