There's a number of serious build bugs https://bugs.gentoo.org/873631 https://bugs.gentoo.org/889276 https://bugs.gentoo.org/714142 https://bugs.gentoo.org/875062 that can't be fixed without rewriting software in modern C. Original code is from 1996 and has warnings at the time that it's non-maintainable. There's no maintainers, theoretical patches that exist in some of the bugs above aren't merged. Closest thing to upstream we have is either https://github.com/hrs-allbsd/kterm/tree/kterm-6-freebsd or https://bogytech.blogspot.com/search/label/kterm but neither of them looks alive or cares about build failures. It's leaf node. It uses obsolete build system (iterm) It doesn't appear to be of any value except as historic curiosity. Reproducible: Always
I do not know why I wrote iterm instead of actual build system, imake. My apologies. Point stands.
