I would like to start pushing out the official snapshots to /space/releases-local/snapshot, for it to hit the mirrors and be available to our users.  This will only contain the single official snapshot used to build the release.  I plan on going back to 2005.0 only, as this was the first release with a unified snapshot.  The snapshot is ~20MB/release, so we aren't talking much space usage.

checking /space/releases-local on toucan, this appears to be implemented. 
closing bug based on that.  reopen if it's not working.
