Hi. I was checking the release notes for galeon recently and noticed a referral to a page which discusses several minor patches for mozilla and mozilla-firefox which are "needed for optimal Epiphany support": http://live.gnome.org/Epiphany_2fMozillaPatches These patches apparently improve mozilla with a view to browsers that embed gecko (like epiphany and galeon, for example). They seem quite reasonable; 3 are recommended for the latest version of mozilla and refer to these mozilla bugs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224454 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277587 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=238052 I would like for them to be included in mozilla (and perhaps even firefox but that's for another bug) by default. I shall attach the above mentioned patches and a proposed ebuild.
Created attachment 60344 [details, diff] mozilla-window-modal.patch (#224454) Prompts should not be application modal but just window modal.
Created attachment 60345 [details, diff] mozilla-interface-requestor.patch (#277587) nsSecureBrowserUIImpl's nsUIContext interface requestor doesn't give access to the dom window.
Created attachment 60346 [details, diff] mozilla-tooltips.patch (#238052) In-page tooltips have no border, although gtk-style tooltips do have a border.
Created attachment 60347 [details] www-client/mozilla-1.7.8-r2.ebuild Proposed revision bump.
Mozilla is dead upstream and will be removed from portage. (This should already be included in Seamonkey anyway according to the usptream bugs).
