For the original reporter: please rebuild avifile as it has directfb support enabled but the library isn't there anymore. For eipi on the comment, please remove LDFLAGS, remove -fPIC from CFLAGS and try again.

I removed -fPIC from CFLAGS, but I kept LDFLAGS, it works after the reemerge of avifile.
This should be fixed now, please reopen if it's still an issue.
