Among currently available mm-sources ebuilds only 2.6.12_rc versions are
available. I miss the more stable mm-sources-2.6.11-r4 one.

The main reason we provide mm-sources is to give people easy access to the
latest breakage. We don't support it at all. If you wish to use an older
version, you'll have to manage that by yourself (you could pull the old ebuild
from http://viewcvs.gentoo.org)
