That bug seems to have been declared solved, yet these packages can't be built.

This is just a suggestion to revisit whether this blob should be removed or not. I can not judge the overall stability of the dev-perl/GD library, but i did override this mask and successfully install a package (logitechmediaserver) depending on dev-perl/Template-Toolkit with gd. Not sure whether this is helpfull evidence of gd being good enough to remove the above mask or not. See discuss in
