sys-libs/db-4.8.30-r8 does not build with the new stablilized gcc-14, see build.log. When using sys-libs/db-4.8.30-r9 everything seems to be ok, build is done. Maybe https://bugs.gentoo.org/942380 ("sys-libs/db-4.8.30-r9 sys-libs/db-5.3.28-r10: stablereq") could be a solution (works for me).
