after upgrading pbbuttons 0.6.9 > 0.6.10 :

sleep function will only work once after /etc/init.d/pbbuttonsd restart
after that if shutdown key is pressed or the cover is closed it will run all the
power scripts like usually but computer will stay awake.

it is new ibook G4 / 12"

Can you try another kernel as well?  There have been lots of changes to the
sleep code lately.  Perhaps a 2.6.11 gentoo-sources?

Also, could you check dmesg to see what's being printed for debug information?

Closing with CANTFIX as I can't reproduce the problem.  Reopen if you have the
same issue so we can figure out what is wrong.
