Because of how prefixes are made with app-emulation/wine-proton, the "auto-install" DXVK/VKD3D feature of Heroic's actually fails to execute correctly because it throws "permission denied" errors (then subsequently, and succeeds, at setting the DLL overrides for the prefix). This being the case, it would be ideal for be a solution to either (or both) that intended functionality to work and/or supporting Gentoo's app-emulation/dxvk & app-emulation/vkd3d-proton implementations that run a script on a target prefix to take the place of the auto-install step. The way those scripts work though, requires that a prefix path be provided - which is ultimately not convenient for users to execute directly via the Heroic GUI (the pre-game launch script launch function) because it would require the user to do so uniquely for *every* Windows game in the library.
