Ooh, new glibc version stabled. But, it's not building here, with error messages that make little sense to me. Here are the last few lines of the emerge log, and emerge info.

The last few lines of glibc failing to emerge

I'm wondering whether this would work better as an attachment or inline here...
Comment 2 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-27 14:00:38 UTC
Masked >sys-libs/glibc-2.3.2-r12 in 2.4 profiles for now.

I'll test a patch from Debian to see if that fixes the problem and remove the
mask again if so.

Evert, please emerge --sync. glibc-2.3.4* is masked in your profile while I'm
testing a patch that solves this bug properly.
Comment 5 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-19 05:28:55 UTC
Patch works fine on 2.4 profiles and have been in portage for a while now.
Reopen bug if there's any further issues.
Comment 6 Evert 2005-06-23 11:39:04 UTC
compiles and runs fine here too :)
Comment 7 Decade 2005-06-27 06:01:27 UTC
Compiles and runs, but:

sci-mathematics/calc doesn't emerge anymore.

One of the calc regression tests fails. Specifically, the one where it tests
whether (11^100/12^98)*(12^98/13^121) == 11^100/13^121

What's especially bad is that this test succeeds with the same binary and
glibc-2.3.2.
Comment 8 Jose Luis Rivero (yoswink) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-11-05 04:27:45 UTC
I mark this as FIXED since our problems with glibc seems to be resolved.

Decade, if need something more on this bug, please reopen.
