during `g-cpan -v -i Config::Cron`, first of all I get ncftpget's manual on display each time a file is downloaded (must be bad options), Secondly it stops saying : "error at line 887 : can't go back in /root/.cpan/build : no suc file or directory at line 887 of /usr/bin/g-cpan" just after removing it. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1.g-cpan -v -i Config::Cron 2. 3. Expected Results: no errors nor problems using ncftpget. version 0.13 of g-cpan was used.

For the first part - all we do is point it at ncftpget if it exists on your box, we don't feed it any arguments (that's handled on the CPAN.pm side of it). Looking into the second problem. I haven't been able to dup this, but one other person has. Thanks, Mike
OK, the problem with the build dir should be resolved in the next push up. Would you mind if I posted it here to confirm that the problem goes away for you? Not that anything is going to help you install Config::Cron - its not on CPAN, so there's nothing to work with ;) Maybe you meant to try and install Config::Crontab?
yep.
The error message is "resolved" in 0.13-r1 (in the tree now). Can't help you with non-existant cpan modules :) closing.
