My pchdtv 3000 card which is able to capture HD using dvb from digital cable, is not recognized by the myth installed from the ebuild. Others who have seen this with other distros have suggested a build error where the wrong kernel headers are found. I only have one kernel on this machine. This may not be a gentoo ebuild bug, but it doesn't seem to be a myth bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start mythtv-setup 2. Try to register pchdtv3000 as a new dvb capture card 3. Actual Results: Myth replies that it cannot find the card Expected Results: Find the card This card successfully captures video/sound when I capture manually.
what version of kernel headers do you have?

carpaski has a similar setup. We should really pick his brain to get this one hammered out.

I did a fresh install on top of 2.6.12-rc4 and all is fine.
So all is well with a new and good kernel basically. Let's just give this a check mark and hope all stays well.
