So lately I've been running gentoo in a vm on an atomic distro using gnome boxes. I normally just import the minimal install ISO but that leaves me without some configuration options like 3d acceleration which I need for testing wayland. For now I download arch linux and use it like a minimal ISO but soon I'm going to have to test both the minimal ISO and Live GUI. I have sent in a request to libosinfo where gnome boxes pulls its downloadable distros from: https://gitlab.com/libosinfo/osinfo-db/-/issues/160#note_2126807053 libosinfo said they need a static file name to pull from so downloads don't go stale. If this is fixed, they can add gentoo to their list of downloadable distros.
