output when emerging dev-texlive/texlive-binextra + emerge --info

Hello

Emerge should create a symlink
/usr/bin/pdfbook2 -->
/usr/share/texmf-dist/scripts/pdfbook2/pdfbook2

However, it does not do so! Thanks.

--Niku.

Attachment: emerge stdout when emerging dev-texlive/texlive-binextra, followed by the emerge --info output.

Indeed, the symlink was dropped in texlive-binextra-2023_p69527-r5, it exists in texlive-binextra-2023_p69527-r4 and again in texlive-binextra-2024_p72338.

I am not sure why -r5 dropped the link, the -r5 ebuild was added because of bug #934975.

Anyhow, the issue appears to be fixed with tl 2024. Feel free to explorativly install it and report back any issues, if you feel adventurous.

Thanks. The correct symlink is indeed created by texlive-binextra-2024_p72338.
