Hi, I just reinstalled Gentoo and finally have wayland running, mostly, but I tend to leave my machine on all the time. I left it on last night, came back to it and whilst it worked, other things didn't. Thunderbird wouldn't download emails, I couldn't log out, it finally did that and went to a black screen with a cursor in the top left corner of the screen but wouldn't reboot. Had to use the alt gr+sys rq to reboot. Oh and then thunderbird would download emails properly on next boot.
"Wayland" isn't something that is running. So what's actually becoming unusable?
I'm new to wl, so I've no clue on it's internals. As I said, plasma log out refused to do what it was told. FF and Thunderbird stopped loading pages/downloading emails (although this seens to be happening anyway).
You didn't mention Plasma until now. Please also include emerge --info.
