Updated the port to include 3.4beta4. Also, moved 3.3 to revision 1 (r1). It now downloads an extras package to give an improved spelling file and the players.img file.

OK -- more attachments. I removed 3.4 beta -- it has no documentation or supporting files. Also, I removed the revision and reset it to 3.3 as it has not even been put in the portage tree -- why would we want anything but 3.3? :)

Can't this be put in "~unstable"?
yes, absolutely
the policy of games is to not mask ... games are not system critical, they wont *break* your system, and ppl who want to play games want to play that latest possible ... for instance when quake3 released a new point release, the older versions of the game cannot be used with the newer version ... so the answer is KEYWORDS will never have ~ in app-games
added to portage but modified to have games eclass support, thx for the ebuild http://cvs.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gentoo-x86/app-games/scid/scid-3.3.ebuild?rev=1.1&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup
