lin-seti-0.8.3 is masked by missing keyword for amd64-based systems. I typed "ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge lin-seti" and it executed perfectly. I know that I could have just edited the ebuild, adding "~amd64", and the results probably would have been the same. Setiathome installed as it should through lin-seti and, so far, all of lin-seti's flags have been working correctly also. I think this app can be unmasked for amd64. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Lin-seti now running on both of my amd64 boxes. tbill@shooter ~ $ uname -a Linux Shooter 2.6.11-gentoo-r8 #1 Sun May 15 11:13:52 CDT 2005 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3700+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux bash-2.0.5b$ uname -a Linux TopGun 2.6.11-gentoo-r8 #2 SMP Sun May 15 13:13:18 CDT 2005 x86_64 AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 252 AuthenticAMD Gnu/Linux
Thanks for reporting, will get to work testing it (when I'm able to download it that is, the FTP seems to be down at the moment) Jim
OK, it installed and works fine. sci-astronomy/setiathome is a dep of this, and atm emerge can't download the file needed to build it. http://public.www.planetmirror.com/pub/setiathome/setiathome-3.08.x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.tar Feel free to download from the above and put the file in /usr/portage/distfiles in the meantime Marking lin-seti TESTED.
