This is an Ebuild for AUC TeX, a major mode for editing TeX/LaTeX documents.
Attached with it is a Makefile patch.

This ebuild depends solely on Emacs. It does not depend on teTeX because 1) it
doesn't teTeX to compile 2) it doesn't need teTex to run. Of course using this
package without TeX may sound weird. 

AUC TeX does run with XEmacs but there was no way to specify that this package
needs *either* emacs or xemacs to run. IMHO both emacs and xemacs packages
should provide something like "virtual/emacs-flavour", this would solve the
dependency problem.

hi. auxtex is included in the app-emacs archive which is soon to be moved into 
portage proper. http://www.gentoo.org/~mkennedy/emacs-packages.html
