- HOMEPAGE's dead (subdomain, domain works but not related to the package)
  http://qnap.nas-central.org/
- only Debian & some derivatives ships it besides us
  https://repology.org/project/qcontrol/versions
- we are using the version from 2014 (debian 6)
  https://sources.debian.org/src/qcontrol/
- no maintainer since 2016
  https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/3795305b5c369eafa15bdc82350132c60f9df1b0

At least until 2021 people cared enough to port it to newer lua-single.eclass and bump EAPI.
