need:

sane-backends, sane-frontends, xsane

please test and mark the ebuild when done.

Thanks!

Ok, this is silly...please learn to utilize use.mask before dropping our
keywords. First of all, why didn't you ask one of us before removing keywords?
Second of all, these deps are untestable unless you are willing to provide a
really old scsi scanner to somebody from the mips team that does X stuff (that
being only me pretty much these days). No machine we support has usb
ports...not that I even have a scanner anyway. You could have simply added
"scanner" to profiles/default-linux/mips/use.mask and none of this would be needed.

Sorry for not contacting you.

I have no experience with the mips platform, thats why I bothered filing a bug.

Added to use.mask as you suggested.

Sorry for the trouble.

Addenum: SGI O2 w/ USB 2.0 card works somewhat well, however untested w/ scanner.

That said, if you feel the need to use.mask a USE flag, drop mips@g.o alias a
mail about it (and the reasoning behind it), and in your entry to use.mask,
identify in comments yourself, and a summarized reason.

Thanks!
