Description Quinn Storm 2005-05-23 11:28:31 UTC
with cups version 1.1.23-r3 (and hpijs, though maybe with other print systems
too), the error client-error-document-format-not-supported is returned on any
attempt to print.
A few others in #gentoo have reproduced this bug.

For now, the best solution I can come up with is to mask 1.1.23-r3 and
downgrade to 1.1.23-r2.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

reopening because after emerge sync and re-updating cups to 1.1.23-r3, error
still exists. (yes I did /etc/init.d/cupsd restart)

in fact nothing changed, no new versions of anything were downloaded (and
everything passed md5) when I did the emerge of cups, the files were exactly
the same as they were for the broken version of cups 1.1.23-r3 before

fix still present typo

Problem is that the supplied patch:
http://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=59594 to
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93553 was not wholly applied.

That patch works with the previous version. This one will work for the new -r3
(1.2)

sorry, fixed
Comment 5 Quinn Storm 2005-05-23 19:30:34 UTC
ok, fix verified after emerge sync & re-emerge of -r3.
