The devmanual wiki page doesn't explain what the purpose of virtuals is (which is to have other packages, at least two, which plug into the virtual, then you lise the virtual as the dependency.)

I had to ask IRC in #gentoo-dev-help to find this out.

We should also talk about what virtuals *aren't* for while we're at it, as I often have to explain that.
