Description Sebastian Beßler 2005-05-22 04:01:46 UTC
After trying out prelink Amarok crashes right after startig it. Even a prelink
-au a reemerge of amarok and his deps and an emerge -e world after uninstall
of prelink doesn't solve the problem. All other apps work flawless.

Amarok-1.2.4 doesn't solve this problem either

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. prelink -amR
2. amarok crash
3. prelink -au
4, amarok still crash
5. emerge unmerge prelink && emerge -e world
6. start amarok
7. amarok crash

Actual Results:
metatron@localhost ~ $ amarok
QObject::connect: Cannot connect Engine::Base::statusText( const QString& ) to
(null)::shortMessage( const QString& )
QObject::connect: Cannot connect Engine::Base::infoMessage( const QString& ) to
(null)::longMessage( const QString& )
QLayout: Adding KToolBar/mainToolBar (child of QVBox/unnamed) to layout for
PlaylistWindow/PlaylistWindow
KCrash: Application 'amarokapp' crashing...

Expected Results:
start and play music

localhost .ccache # emerge info

Comment 3 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-26 07:56:20 UTC
It seems the crash originates from a wine library installed in /usr/local,
which amarok links (maybe through xine?).
I don't think we can do much to help you.
