Description Brian Beck 2005-05-21 20:49:22 UTC
The 8.13.3 release is not completed yet and is only for Integrated Chipsets, as
described on the ATI website at
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=19510 - It does NOT
appear in the "ATI Video Cards" driver section, but only in the "Motherboards
with Integrated Chipsets" section. Every user who has upgraded thus far has
experienced a black screen and failure to display anything; as such I would ask
the ebuild to be hard masked until 8.13.3 is released for actual video cards.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade ATI Drivers to 8.13.3
2. Watch your screen go black when you restart X
3. Repeat.

Actual Results:
No display at all, although processes would start.

Expected Results:
Show something on the screen, preferrably GDM.

ok, my fault. I should read better the release notes. (I tought that was just a
support update with no feature added nor bug fixed but I was wrong.)
