Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-21 14:20:53 UTC
Currently uw-imap and vimap behave in a way different from other mailservers wrt pamd files.
Other just says to install mailbase with +pam to install the pamd files there, those instead installs them if mailbase is built with -pam.

This makes a problem in a similar situation:

collision-protect enabled
mailbase is installed with -pam (no pamd files)
uw-imap is installed with +pam (pamd files)

mailbase is then reinstalled with +pam, it requires to remove the pamd files there to be installed, the installation is successful because the files aren't in /etc/pam.d anymore to check for conflicts

then there's an update to mailbase, or for some reason mailbase is reinstalled, this will make collision-protect fail because the files are there and are owned by two packages.

If this is wanted, no problem just ignore that bug and I'll open two more for the two pamd files which uses pam_stack.so, else, just make it use mailbase which is already fixed to work fine on openpam by using include directive.

Thanks, Diego
