Hello. I hope I've come to the right place. I am using Plasma 6.1 and cannot view "HEIF" thumbnails in Dolphin. It still worked with Plasma 5.27 in gentoo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Efficiency_Image_File_Format https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/HEIF I have USE="heif..." in the make.conf I can view HEIF images in "okular", "feh", "geeqie" and in "GIMP" I tried it under Arch in a VM, the HEIF preview images work in Plasma 6.1 (Dolphin Filemanager)
It is sad to read that you have problems with the HEIF. The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis. We can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems. I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3]. I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4]. Please open a new ticket in order to provide an indication for a specific error in an ebuild or any gentoo related product.
